As we continue to expand our operations, we are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team and support our growing business.
Job Overview
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting tasks, maintain accurate financial records, and support the senior finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. Experience or interest in the engineering, service, or construction sectors is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Invoicing & Billing: Prepare and issue accurate invoices to clients for fire safety installations, maintenance contracts, and service calls.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Track incoming vendor invoices, process payments, and follow up on outstanding client receivables.
Data Entry: Maintain and update financial transactions, journals, and ledgers in the accounting software.
Expense Management: Verify and process employee expense claims and petty cash transactions.
Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and verify book balances against bank statements.
Compliance Support: Assist in gathering documentation for tax filings (such as GST and TDS) and internal/external audits.
Administrative Support: Assist the senior management team with financial reporting and general administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce (B.Com), or a related field.
Experience: 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (fresher candidates with strong internship experience and excellent academic records may also apply).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally Prime).
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas).
Core Competencies:
Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Good communication skills for coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
