Area Manager – LPG Cylinder Sales

JOB PURPOSE
To drive LPG cylinder sales growth within the assigned territory by strengthening distributor
performance, expanding customer reach, ensuring compliance with company policies, and
executing sales and marketing initiatives effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Achieve sales volume and market penetration targets for LPG cylinders in the assigned
area.
Develop and execute area-wise sales plans in coordination with Regional Manager and
Distributors.
Identify new business opportunities by conducting location-wise and street-wise market
mapping for commercial, industrial, and institutional LPG consumers; record prospects in
the prescribed format, review and finalize plans with the Regional Manager, and convert
leads by onboarding them through the nearest authorized distributors.
Monitor competitor activities and recommend strategies to improve market share.
DISTRIBUTOR MANAGEMENT
Manage and support authorized distributors as per company guidelines.
Ensure distributors meet sales targets, service standards and compliance requirements.
Conduct regular distributor reviews to track performance and stock levels.
Resolve distributor issues related to logistics, customer complaints and operations as per
advise of Regional Manager.
MARKET EXPANSION & ACTIVATION
Support distributors in expanding their customer base and delivery network.
Plan and implement local marketing, promotional and awareness activities by discussing
with Regional Manager. Assist in onboarding new customers through distributors.
Ensure effective branding and visibility at distributor points and in the market (Office
Branding, Vehicle Branding and TShirt wearing).
OPERATIONS & COMPLIANCE
Ensure adherence to safety norms, statutory regulations and company SOPs related to
LPG handling.
Coordinate with distributors to ensure timely cylinder delivery to the customers.
REPORTING & ANALYSIS
Prepare daily / weekly / monthly sales and performance reports.
Analyze sales trends, distributor performance and customer feedback.
Provide market intelligence and recommendations to the Regional Manager.
TEAM & RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
Train and guide distributor sales staff on products, pricing and sales techniques.
Maintain strong relationships with distributors and key customers.
Act as the company’s representative in the assigned area.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & MONTHLY SALARY
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Fresh or experienced in sales & marketing of LPG, FMCG, petroleum or distribution-driven
industries.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area
Basic computer skills (MS Word / MS Excel)
