Summary

The Marketing Head will lead the organization's commercial growth by driving LPG cylinder sales, expanding market presence, strengthening distribution channels, and building a high-performance sales organization that consistently delivers profitable and sustainable business growth.

  1. Develop and execute strategic sales and business development initiatives to achieve annual sales volume, revenue, profitability, market share, and business expansion targets for LPG cylinders.
  2. Drive customer acquisition, retention, and key account management while increasing sales volumes from existing customers through strategic relationship management and value-added commercial solutions.
  3. Identify, penetrate, and develop untapped markets, new customer segments, institutional clients, industrial consumers, and emerging sales channels to accelerate business growth.
  4. Build, expand, and optimize a high-performing dealer, distributor, and channel partner network to maximize market coverage, customer reach, and sales productivity.
  5. Develop competitive pricing, commercial strategies, tender participation, contract negotiations, and business proposals to enhance profitability and secure long-term customer partnerships.
  6. Lead market intelligence by analysing customer demand, competitor activities, pricing trends, and market opportunities to develop winning growth strategies.
  7. Recruit, develop, train, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales and marketing team, fostering a culture of accountability, customer focus, continuous learning, and superior execution.
  8. Strengthen brand visibility, customer engagement, and service excellence while ensuring seamless coordination with Operations, Logistics, Production, and Finance for timely order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
  9. Drive business performance through robust MIS, sales forecasting, pipeline management, KPI monitoring, and data-driven decision-making to improve productivity and commercial effectiveness.
  10. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safety regulations, and corporate governance while delivering measurable outcomes in sales growth, market penetration, customer satisfaction, channel expansion, and sustainable profitability.

Required Skills :

Educational Qualification

  • UG in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical) with an MBA (Marketing/Business Management) or an equivalent postgraduate qualification from a recognized institution.

Experience

  • Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, and Channel Management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the LPG, Oil & Gas, Industrial Gases, Energy, Commodities, or related industrial sectors.
  • Proven track record of consistently delivering business growth through market expansion, customer acquisition, channel development, and profitable commercial strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to build businesses, create new revenue streams, penetrate untapped markets, and transform commercial performance—not merely manage existing operations.
  • Hands-on experience in dealer/distributor management, institutional sales, key account management, tendering, contract negotiations, and strategic pricing.
  • Exposure to PESO regulations, statutory documentation, and compliance related to LPG cylinder marketing and distribution will be a distinct advantage.
